Valentines Day Lingerie

If you follow me on any social media platform you will probably know that I am single. And Valentines Day is coming up. So just to recap: I am single *sobs* and valentines day… okay. So if you’re all loved up you can disregard my little pity party, because I’m about to get real. Being single at this time of year is hard! There are hearts everywhere, all your friends are most likely in relationships, and from every corner of life and media we are absorbing these messages that are screaming ‘You are not enough on your own, you are not valid on your own, you can’t be happy on your own!’And so we have little bitter sobs into tea after every Prouds Jewelers ad on TV. Even though I am the worst culprit for this sort of behavior, I am here to tell you that these messages, these thought… they’re not true.

On our own, we are enough. As a person we are whole, even on Valentines day. I have decided that my Valentines day is going to be spent as a Galentine, and the Galentine is me! It will involve an entire day on my own (and all the introverts clap in glee with me) in a blanket fort, binge watching TV shows and eating a copius amount of tim tams, that I won’t share with anyone, painting my nails, wearing this lingerie and reveling in my messy singlehood. And probably melted tim tams, because its so fucking hot in Australia right now.

So to finish off, here is a list of things I think are great about being single:

• Not having to share your food
• No guilt when you flirt with the cute barista on Monday mornings (that was a little to specific wasn’t it? 😉
• Taking as long as you want to get ready and look amazing, JUST FOR YOU
• Hogging the covers
• Watching the movies you want to watch, all the time. (Yes to Forgetting Sarah Marshall for the hundredth time!)
• Farting when you need to without embarrassing yourself
• One night stands. Need I say more?

Q & A

First off, thank you so much for all of the questions sent in, I got over a hundred in just an hour! Obviously I won’t be able to answer them all right now, but I think I can do a top ten, and put the rest in a ‘save for later box’ hey? Here we go.

1. What is pansexual and do you prefer girls or guys?

 

I identify as pansexual because while I recognise that gender is important and valid, it does not have anything to do with whether or not I am attracted to someone. I like intelligence, and humor, and fall in love with personality. At the moment though, I am finding myself more attracted to feminine people, though it changes all the time.

2. Are you a nudist?

Hahahhahaha, I am not technically a nudist. I would classify myself as more of a naturist. I love being naked almost as much as I dislike wearing clothing, and tend to be happier just existing in my skin. Especially in nature, I feel more connected to the earth and its vibration if there is no barrier between her and I.

3. Have you ever/ do you have plans to leave Australia?

I have been to various places in Asia, but I want to travel the world! Right now, the UK and roadtripping America are on my bucket list. Hopefully next year! So if you’re in those places maybe we can have a meet up and I can buy y’all a milkshake for being amazing ❤

4. How do you take your photos?

Ah yes, the never ending question which has no straight forward answer. My #ootd photos, normally a friend or my brother, other ones are taken by lovely arty friends of mine. I’m looking into buying a tripod or something so I can take some of my own though!

5. How are you so self confident?

Straight answer: I’m not. I have really awful days some times. Part of the territory with instagram are little trolls who weren’t hugged as children that somehow make me feel really bad about myself! But I work hard to love my body. I focus on what it does for me everyday as opposed to what it looks like, and that helps a great deal. Also just to get a little hippie on ya, I see my body as my connection to the universe. It is made from the same dust as stars, and when I meditate on that I find peace.

6. Why are you on instagram? Do you just do it for attention?

Ooooh ooh. Right. I’m on instagram because I like the idea of documenting my journey towards self love. I make my account public because I actually made it to seventeen before I saw a body type like mine where the girl was confident, rocking her weight and looking sexy! That was a turning point to me, because I had never really considered I could be attractive or love myself as a plus size girl. I hope to be that random account a girl finds that helps her discover you can be chubby AF without sacrificing your sexuality.

7. Why are you so comfortable showing your scars?

Because they are a part of my body, a part of my journey and I don’t feel the need to cover them anymore. I also think as a society and especially in the body positive community we should be more open about discussing and supporting recovery! But that’s just my two cents 😀

8. What do you do for a job and do you get paid for posting pictures?

I am currently studying to work in the community services industry, and in my spare time I work for a support and advocacy group for young people who are diverse in sexuality and/or gender!And gurrlll…. I wish I got paid. That is a firm no…

9. Do you have an Amazon wishlist?

10. What is a plus size model, and are you one?

So I think technically a plus size model is a person who is over a size 12 AUS and is signed by an agency. I am definitely over a size 12 (size 18 cough cough) but I am not signed by any agency, nor am I a part of any affiliate programs! So I think that cancels me out! I would just like to say though, I would love to see some plus size models over a size 20 in the industry!! Smaller size bodies are great also, but it would just be so lovely to see an even representation of body types!

Haunted Housewife Dress Review

So I can’t say I felt haunted or even like a house wife wearing this, but I definitely felt classy and sexy as hell! This material is heavy and hangs beautifully, with a collared V neckline it is flattering for all size breasts and elbow length sleeves make it perfect for the self conscious arm days. ( We all have them, don’t tell lies ;))

I wore this to shop for my little brothers birthday and three women pulled me aside going ‘Oh my god, that is such a beautiful dress, where did you get it?!’ I also got asked out twice by one fairly attractive bearded man, and one not so, but hey (take what I can get?) I’m not sure if it was anything to do with the V neck or the exceptional quality of the fabric. For my peace of mind I’m going to tell myself it was the latter 😉 . After spending a day in it, I would recommend wearing it either on fairly cool days or at a time where you don’t have to do much, as beauty comes at a price, and this dress’ price is sweeaaatttt. The heaviness of the fabric means it looks great but can get quite hot. In my lowly opinion though, it is totally worth it.

So this is the last Pin Up Clothing review I will do for a while, as this is my order complete. I would like to give them a quick shout out for providing such high quality garments in a broad range of sizes which means there is something beautiful for every body type. The service I have received while ordering has been exceptional, and they have a great returns policy as well. Darling Dames Skirt Review

So it is no secret to the people that know me that I love a little animal print; ts not just for cougar esque milfs guys. So that being said, this skirt for me was love at first sight.

The first thing I noticed about it was it has pockets!!! So it has suddenly climbed at least three rungs of my ‘loving it’ ladder. The material is light, but falls perfectly like it was made of heavier fabric, and the color is vibrant.

When I put it on I see it comes to just below my knees with my 5’6 height, which is a little longer and fuller than what the website advertised it as in their photos and a tad different to what I normally chose to wear. I didn’t write it off though and as soon as I paired it with a black crop top it all came together.

It has coped well with a few washes and holds it shape and color which was one of my main little fears, which is a testimony to the excellent quality of the fabric. I have a feeling this is going to be a staple of my wardrobe!

This skirt has actually grown on me in the week I have had it, and oh my god, I have had so many compliments! And mainly by men, which is a little strange. Maybe its sexy? I don’t know. But its comfy as hell, so I’m loving it.

‘Heidi’ Black Cherry Dress Review.

So I received this dress in the mail a few days ago, and I swear the postal lady nearly had a heart attack, because I was so excited for its arrival I answered the door in my birthday suit. Public nudity and indecency aside though, it is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made/.

This dress has a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline (I’m feeling it for Valentines y’all) and a cherry print all over. It comes with a red belt, which totally makes the outfit. Material has a little stretch and a zip up back, so between that and the ruched bust there is a little wiggle room for my big busted ladies.

Pin Up Girl Clothing have always been one of my favorite places to buy from, as they create beautiful pieces for body shapes from tiny, to thick as fuck or aka me. The second I put this on I knew it was my soul mate (okay yes, I’m single and its valentines month, don’t judge me) .
